The tape is a thin bead of adhesive sandwiched between a carrier strip and a cover strip. To use, peel the cover strip off of one side, then press the adhesive bead onto the CD strip and burnish it so that the adhesive bonds to the CD strip. Then peel away the remaining carrier strip, leaving only the bead of adhesive on the CD strip (the adhesive has now been "transferred"). Then just stick the CD-strip-with-adhesive to the side of the cabinet. Make sure your cabinet finish is completely cured.
