Handheld power tools generate a lot of dust right where you least want it: directly under your nose. Unfortunately, the confusing array of non-standardized dust ports on handheld tools makes it hard to connect a dust hose-until now. This new kit from Rockler includes two sizes of flexible rubber dust ports-1'', 1-1/2''-that flex to fit on almost any tool, plus a 2-1/4'' port that connects to most shop vacuums, dust separators or our optional Cord and Hose Holder (47321). The two tool-end ports are thoughtfully designed with a slight elbow that helps lift the dust hose off of your work. All ports thread securely into the included premium ''stretch'' hose, which is a remarkable engineering feat in itself. This supple, agile hose expands from a mere 3' to nearly 15' long, and is a pleasure to work with, providing almost zero resistance as you move about your workspace. Winner of WOOD Magazine's Innov8 Award for 2015Ports flex to fit almost any handheld power tool with dust collection compatibilityHose expands 5x the original length-from 3' to 15'- for a large working radiusDurable, flexible rubber hose is easy to manuever and manipulate, is kink- and crush-resistant, and has no memoryPorts swivel for free range of motionPorts reverse thread into hose for a secure, leak-free connection
This electronically driven automatic blast gate system is an optional upgrade to the iVac Pro Wireless Dust Collection Control System, bringing one-touch simplicity to managing your dust collection airflow. Simply turn on your power tool, and the iVac Pro Tool (42891, sold separately) sends a wireless signal to automatically open the corresponding Pro Blast Gate, and another signal to the iVac Pro Switch (42897, sold separately), which turns on your dust collector. Turn off your power tool, and after a short interval to clear dust, the blast gate closes and the dust collector powers down. This automation prevents the irritating dust clouds that result from forgetting to open a blast gate, and the reduced suction that results from forgetting to close it afterward. The system also ensures that at least one gate stays open when the vacuum is on to prevent overloading the motor on your dust collector. The iVac Pro system eliminates the inconvenience of having to walk across the shop to turn on your dust collection system before operating a power tool. It also eliminates the chance that you will simply forego the dust collector to save a bit of time. Simply turn on your power tool and the Pro Tool Plus sends a wireless signal up to 40' to the Pro Switch (sold separately), which then powers up your dust collection system. Turn off your power tool, and the dust collector powers down. Here's how it works. The Pro Tool Plus is physically secured to the power cord of your power tool, and determines whether the tool is on or off by sensing the magnetic field surrounding the cord. Now plug your dust collection system into a Pro Switch (sold separately). In Auto Mode, when the power tool is turned on, the Tool Plus transmits a digital wireless signal to the Pro Switch instructing it to turn on and apply power to the Dust Collector. You can add a Pro Tool Plus to every tool that you want to have this capability. One Pro Switch can accommodate up to 8 Pro Tools, as long as they are within the 40' radio frequency range. You can even program your Pro Switch to run a little longer than your tool to allow for dust clearance. Get started today by selecting a Pro Switch in 240V or 115V and adding up to 8 Pro Tool Plus units. NOTE: IVac Pro System Boxes are built to handle the amperage advertised, however, both the UL (American) and CSA (Canadian) safety approval agencies require the boxes to be labeled at 80% of their actual amperage capacity due to the fact that the units have an attached power supply cord. Example - The 115 Volt / 20 Amp box is labeled as only 16 amps, however the box will actually continuously handle 20 amp AC mains.
