2 levers plus 4 holes in body, 3 in the scroll gives you 1-handed tightening!ONEWAY chucks have been designed by a machinist with engineering input from material, heat treating, and plating specialists in order to satisfy the woodturner's every need. Chucks were designed to meet most turning needs. Less time spent getting ready to turn and more time spent turning means better quality, and more finished projects. Large projects can be turned more safely, and turning can be done at the ends of long stock. There are four lever holes in the body, and three holes in the scroll. This design creates a constant differential which allows one-handed tightening. Levers are made from high strength steel and will not deform or bend in use. This prevents damage to holes in the chuck.Different jaw sets are available for the chuck, which allows you to fit the chuck to suit your specific needs. If your needs change or grow, these chucks can be adapted to change and grow as you do.This chuck does require an insert, you can use: 3/4" x 16 tpi Insert (#22733 Sold Separately)or 1" x 8 tpi Insert (#22726 Sold Separately) or1-1/4'' x 8 tpi Insert (#21358 Sold Separately)The chuck weighs approximately 4.5 lbs.Standard Jaws & Optional Jaw Capacities are:#2 Jaws (Included) External 1-5/8" Min, 3" Max Internal 2" Min, 3-5/8" Max
Nova's Pen Plus Jaws quickly convert your Nova chuck into a fast, accurate pen blank drilling tool. The large jaw profile provides a solid grip for all sizes of pen blanks, and a perfectly centered hole, every time. Being able to finely control the drill feed on your lathe helps to prevent break out on delicate pen walls. Pen Plus Jaws are also perfect for squaring up the pen blank ends after gluing in the tubes. But here's the "Plus" in Pen Plus—the heavy-duty design of the jaws means that they're also powerful enough to handle larger, longer spigot work. With an internal profile that accepts square turning blanks, and a rock solid grip over 1-1/2" long, the jaws perform admirably, with minimal vibration. Drills your pen blanks cleanly and accurately.Far faster than using a drill press. Also holds long, square stock firmly and accurately for wider project use beyond just pens.Fits all Nova chucksVery efficient for small run pen making - all operations are based around the lathe.Secured by two screws for each jaw segment.Rock solid grip over 1-1/2" long.Features standard on all Nova Jaws:Nova chucks give you the same jaw fixing system and same insert/adapter system across all chuck models. All accessory jaws in the range will fit all the chucks in the range for optimum flexibility.
