This heavy duty planer offers performance and value, loaded with standard features not found on other machines in its class. The powerful 5HP motor and 20" planing capacity will handle the most demanding work. The helical cutterhead provides quieter operation and finer finishing than conventional systems, and the four-sided knife inserts seat themselves without requiring a set-up gauge. The 5" dust port connects easily to any dust collector. The anti-kickback fingers and pressure bar are located in close proximity to the cutterhead for an exceptional finish. The solid cast iron base, table and head are designed for production. The 2-speed oil bath gearbox transmits full power to feed rollers and facilitates fast speed changes at 24 and 31 FPM. The gearbox can be changed to 4-speed with the included gear to run lower speeds of 16 and 20 FPM. The corrugated infeed and fine groove outfeed rollers ensure a smooth feed. The precision ground and polished cast iron table rides on four steel columns giving it plenty of support for the larger workpiece. Heavy cast iron extension wings ensure a flat, smooth cut.The Byrd SHELIX helical cutterhead with 99 knife inserts provides smoother, quieter cutting and finer finish than conventional systems 5HP motor and 20" planing capacity for heavy duty work Fully enclosed base cabinet with integrated casters for shop mobility Cast iron table with extensions creates a big 55-1/2" x 20" working area Four feed speeds - 24 and 31 FPM, 16 and 20 FPM with gear change - provide versatility Feed rollers and cutterhead supported by full cast iron head assembly for rigidity Standard Equipment: Byrd helical cutterhead with knife inserts 5" diameter dust port Cast iron extension tables
Cast light on the subject in nearly any situation with this flexible LED Work Light. With two mounting options - a powerful magnet that attaches to any ferrous metal surface, and a spring clamp that grips onto shelves, bench tops and more - this makes a useful portable lighting option for a variety of tasks. Use it when servicing your table saw or changing planer blades, or use it on your bandsaw or router table for better safety and visibility. With easy mounting and adjustability, the choice is truly yours.
The PM1900 Dust Collector is strong enough to use with planers, wide belt sanders, table saws and most other woodworking machines. The exclusive TurboCone improves chip separation to prevent clogging of the filter, and increases packing efficiency of the collector bags. The canister filter offers superior filtering surface area over standard bags, and captures 98% of 2-micron particles. The all-metal duct improves rigidity and air flow. The clear collector bags are large capacity, which means less down-time changing them. Four swivel casters and conveniently located handles allow for easy mobility. Each of these unique slabs is individually cut to reveal the most interesting grain and to preserve as much of the natural live edge as possible - use them for table tops, clock faces, signs, decorative wall hangings and whatever else your imagination can drum up. Live edge slabs reveal the individual character of the tree from which they were cut, and provide woodworkers with beautiful wide boards that would otherwise be ripped thin if milled for yield. Because of their width, most of these slabs won't fit through a jointer or planer. Instead, they are carefully flattened on a custom-built, manually-operated mill. The slabs are then sanded to 150-grit and given a light of coat of clear shellac for protection. All of these slabs are sourced from small family-owned mills that practice responsible land management. For dimensions refer to the grid in the photo: each red square represents 12''; each black square represents 4'' When necessary, checking and defects are carefully patched at the mill Sanded to 150-grit and coated with shellac for protection
