With a table measuring 15-3/4" x 31-1/2", the CNC Shark is ideally suited for carvings and machining operations on a large variety of signs, doors and other small projects. It boasts impressive power, speed, accuracy, and ease of use. With its robust steel and high-density poly-ethylene construction, it can take accidental impacts that would normally damage or destroy an aluminum or MDF machine. The included clamping table features two hold-down slots for securing work anywhere along the length of the table. You supply a PC computer with USB 2.0 port and a Bosch Colt router (sold separately). Simply connect the USB cable to the controller box and the other end to your computer (not compatible with Mac computers). The CNC Shark also includes the NEW Virtual Zero software. This new and CNC Shark exclusive software ''maps'' the surface of your table or work piece and uses the map as a dynamic reference point. This virtually eliminates problems caused by warped or bowed work pieces.FREE CNC Project Plans from Woodworker's Journal:Butler's TrayWeather StationCribbage BoardWorkshop JigModern TableOutlet CoverLuggage TagsChinese CheckerboardPuzzle TrayIntroducing CNCSharkTalk.com, a website presented by Rockler where CNC Shark users can chat together, watch how-to videos, ask questions, learn from each other and even show off their CNC Shark projects.
The CNC Shark Touch Probe attaches to the router in any CNC Shark Routing System to trace objects down to 0.001" detail allowing the user to import image data for replicating objects, shapes and patterns. Simply program the Shark to operate at the same detail level as the Touch Probe scan to reproduce the object later. Works well for replicating basic shapes for carvings or reproducing damaged areas on antiques or other irreplaceable items. Requires Cut 3D Software or similar software to be used with the CNC Shark models. Made in the USA. NOTE: To avoid accidents or injury, always be sure to unplug the router prior to attaching the Touch Probe. Touch Probe is compatible with the following machines: CNC Shark Routing System CNC Shark Pro Plus Routing System CNC Shark HD 2.0 Routing System The probe does not work with the 54111 CNC PiranhaIntroducing CNCSharkTalk.com, a new website presented by Rockler where CNC Shark users can chat together, watch how-to videos, ask questions, learn from each other and even show off their CNC Shark projects.
Although its attractive price might suggest an entry level machine, the CNC Piranha is every bit as capable as its CNC Shark cousins and it even includes a convenient touch-screen interface! Its compact 12'' x 18'' table makes it perfect for smaller-scale projects like carvings, plaques, ornamental boxes and precision parts machined from wood, soft metals, or plastics, all at a fraction of the price of a full-sized CNC. With its 3D carving capability, including a 3D models library, you can carve expensive corbels, cut intricate inlays and engravings. The CNC Piranha has such incredible accuracy that you can engrave custom circuit boards with it. In addition, the entire machine can easily fit on one end of your bench. Design your project with the included VCarve Desktop 8.0 Design software on a PC computer with USB 2.0 port (computer not included). Then save the program directly to a USB flash drive, plug it into the Pendant, select your file, and hit the run button. By using the flash drive, your computer won't be subjected to a dusty shop environment. Put the power of the Piranha to work for you today! The AutoRoute series of CNC machines from Axiom offers advanced features usually found only on machines in industrial environments, but at consumer-friendly prices. The AutoRoute 4 Basic is the least expensive model, with XYZ travel of 24'' x 24'' x 6'', and a universal router mount that accepts a wide variety of commonly available woodworking routers (see below). A computer need not be attached to the CNC to operate it. Instead, simply transfer your file to the included handheld controller via USB. The RichAuto A11 controller is an easy-to-use, robust controller with nearly a decade of proven results in demanding applications. It is more stable than a PC, and no updates are required. Every Axiom AutoRoute CNC machine also offers precision ball screws, prismatic guides, robust, rigid steel frames, and interlocking aluminum tables. In addition, the integrated MDF spoil boards promise exacting precision, as they can be milled flat for true perpendicularity with the spindle. Whether you're looking to upgrade your entry-level CNC, or you just want to start out with a machine that promises top-quality results and ease of use, you're sure to be pleased with the AutoRoute series from Axiom.
