This new PM2700 Shaper offers more features to you than any other shaper in the same class. The extra large 30" x 40" precision ground cast iron table includes a heavy duty miter gauge with an aluminum extruded support. The built-in, omni-directional caster system (patent pending) is retractable into the base. A quick-release lever allows fast speed and belt changes. The extruded aluminum fence has several T-slots so you can mount a wood face to create a no-clearance surface around any shaper or router bit. The fence also gives you the ability to quickly move the fence close to its final position, lock it in and then use the precision micro adjustments on each side of the cutter to dial in exactly the position you need. Adding to the precision of this machine is a digital readout for the spindle height. This allows making adjustments to within .001" in the spindle height, which is critical when aligning rail and stile cutters for those raised panel doors.Integrated caster system built into the cast iron base for instant shop mobilitySpindle height digital readout for making fine incremental adjustments on multiple passesHeavy duty 30" x 40" precision ground tabletop for smooth stock feedingConvenient quick lock belt tensioning for easy speed adjustmentIndustrial fence system with fine adjust dials for more precise positioning5HP totally enclosed motor offers plenty of powerTwo spindle speeds (reversible) for a variety of workSuperior clear cutter guard promotes safety, allows observation of the entire cutTable predrilled and tapped for feeder mounting in two locationsFence has dual featherboards for work holdingDual 4" ports for attachment to dust collection systemStandard Equipment:3/4" and 1-1/4" interchangeable spindle colletsSpindle height digital readoutFeatherboard hold downsDeluxe miter gaugeIntegrated caster system
Vertical panel raising bits concentrate more of their weight toward the center of the bit, reducing strain on the motor, and allowing you to spin the bit at higher RPMs. This means you can raise panels with an ordinary 2 HP router mounted in a router table. Precision machining paired with a sturdy 1/2" shank ensure smooth, chatter-free cuts. Note: vertical panel raising bits cannot be used for cathedral-style or arched doors.
Provided your router has enough horsepower, horizontal panel raising bits offer an exceptionally smooth shearing cut, and virtually eliminate fuzzing on the end grain of your panels. In addition, they allow you to raise panels with curving profiles, such as for arched doors or cathedral style doors. These raised panel bits are manufactured to Rockler's exacting standards, and include guide bearings to ensure proper relief to fit into the grooves of your rail and stile doors.
Making double-sided doors has never been easier! This optional cutter for double-sided doors matches the bead profile of Freud's 99-763 Stile and Rail Bit Set (32427, sold separately). The result affords you even more creative freedom by letting you build custom frame and panel doors with decorative edges on both sides-perfect for doors that will be visible from both sides! Two add-on cutters are included, one for the rail cutter, and one for the stile cutter. Both allow you to make double profile doors with variable thicknesses and long tenons. The cutters are machined to precisely match the Freud 99-763 rail and stile bit set.Perma-Shield coating reduces heat and pitch build up along with rustTiCo Hi-Density Carbide maximizes bit life and material finish
