This signmaking bit features a unique flattened round-nose profile that allows you to cut to full depth with fewer passes and less wear and tear on your router. While the overall width is 1/2'', the full profile is achieved by cutting only 3/16'' deep rather than the typical 1/4''. The resulting flat-bottom trench provides a very pleasing look for sign letters, borders and other decorative effects. Because of the small flat, it can also be used to hog out large flat recesses with a radiused border.
