The Powermatic PM1000 takes legendary performance and design principles from its larger predecessors, and packs them into a dynamic 115 volt machine. That means that more woodworkers than ever before will be able to enjoy the capability and rugged performance of a Powermatic cabinet saw, without requiring expensive electrical upgrades. With only a few minutes of use, the careful design and engineering put into every part of this saw become clearly apparent. Heavy cast iron throughout cuts vibration and noise. The famed Accu-Fence slides smoothly and locks securely, while the heavy 7'' hand wheels turn with ease. The blade guard raises and tilts in unison with the blade, and the hands-free power button with safety key makes for easy starts and stops. The PM1000 is available paired with your choice of two fences: 30'' and 52'' (45878, sold separately).Features:A rugged cabinet saw that only requires 115V power.Blade surround and collection hose provide an unobstructed path, maximizing dust collection. Conveniently located hands-free power switch.Tool-less guard assembly with independent side leaves is easy to use, maximizing safety.Blade guard raises, lowers and tilts in unison with the blade.Splitter and riving knives are mounted directly to blade mechanism, keeping gap between them and the blade consistent during height and angle adjustments.Sturdy miter gauge pivots 60 degrees to either side, allowing easy adjustment for a full range of cuts. Exclusive AccuFence provides rigidity and precision. The poly-V belt drive system reduces vibration and maximizes efficiency. Large, ergonomically designed 7'' handwheels provide momentum, making blade height and bevel adjustments easy.Arbor lock allows for one-handed blade changes with minimal tools.Cast iron work surface features a beveled edge.Bevel scale is conveniently located with large, easy-to-read numbers.Hinged motor cover provides quick access to the interior of the cabinet.
The distinctive striped appearance of Zebrawood has made it a favorite for decorative inlays and veneers. The color ranges from golden-yellow to a peanut butter tone with chocolate veins running through it. The wood is hard, dense and extremely tough. These thin boards are machined S4S to 1/8" and 1/4" thicknesses, eliminating wear and tear on your planer. You won't have to worry about tearout, which is difficult to prevent when planing thin stock. Thin boards are ideal for edging, veneering, inlay, marquetry, sides for decorative boxes, bending stock, bent laminations and whatever else your imagination can dream up!Native to: West Africa, especially Gabon and Cameroon.Tree Data: 48" to 60" diameter trunk. The trees generally have very thick bark.Sapwood: Pale yellow.Heartwood: Light golden-yellow or pale yellow-brown, with narrow streaks of dark brown to almost black, giving a striped appearance.Grain: Generally interlocked or wavy, yielding a ribbon figure. Texture: Medium to coarse. Luster: High luster.Resin: Occasional resin pockets.Movement: Dimensionally stable. Retains its shape well after machining.Veneering Qualities: Zebrawood is used extensively in veneers for cross banding and inlays. Bundles of veneer should be stabilized with weights to prevent buckling.Working characteristics: Responds well to hand and machine tools. Quite easy to saw, but due to interlocking grain, planing is very difficult, often resulting in tearout.Polishing: Good polishing and finishing qualities. Strength: Compressive strength parallel to the grain is high. The wood is hard, very heavy, and very dense. It is tough, with good impact resistance.
There's no need to juggle guide rails, a pencil or tape measure. In fact, there's no measuring or marking required - just slide the fence on the Rip-Cut to any setting from 1/8" to 24" and rip a clean, straight line right down the length of the sheet. The Rip-Cut attaches easily to virtually any circular saw, whether left- or right-handed. Adjusting the fence is easy, simply open the cam lever, and slide it to your setting, just like a table saw fence.Quickly and easily connects to most hand-held circular saws.Reversible guide arm allows you to use it either right- or left-handed.Includes easy-to-read adjustable scale that can be zeroed to your blade.Fence moves with the saw, providing support through the entire length of the cut. Rips 4' x 8' plywood in two.
With 13-1/2'' of width capacity and 6'' of resaw capacity this little bandsaw takes a big bite out of the wood, without eating up much floor space. It features a sturdy cast-iron frame and table, which tilts in both directions. The computer-balanced wheels help cut vibration for less saw marks, while the single-knob blade tracking system makes it easy to keep the blade running where you want it. Graphite impregnated polymer blade guides with roller bearing thrust guides help keep the blade from overheating and breaking prematurely. Includes a 3/8'' 6 TPI blade.Features:Cast iron frame construction for strength, rigidity and reduced vibration6-spoke, precision computer balanced wheels eliminate vibration for accurate blade trackingGraphite impregnated polymer blade guides with roller bearing thrust guides provide quicker set-up and a cooler running blade
