Designed with an enormous 18'' resaw capacity, multi-step blade tensioning system, precision blade guides, and a 5HP motor hungry for hardwoods, the new PM1800 is a bandsaw like no other. It comes standard with all the extra features you've come to expect from Powermatic. With its 24'' x 27'' cast iron table and precision balanced cast iron wheels, it runs smoothly and quietly, with hardly any vibration. The easy-to-adjust T-square style fence includes a 6-1/2'' resaw fence that gives you excellent right angle support when running wide boards vertically. Whether you're resawing thin veneers or just thicknessing boards to minimize waste that would otherwise be eaten by your planer, this saw is more than up to the task. Read on to learn more about this industrial-quality bandsaw from Powermatic. This heavy-duty thin kerf blade is good for crosscutting thick hardwoods and softwoods and thinner stock materials. The ideal working range is from 3/4" to 3-1/2" thick for crosscutting, and 1/4" to 1" thick for ripping. Thinner or thicker material may be cut, but some loss of surface finish may occur. The Perma-SHIELD coating covers the blade plate and cutting edge in a protective layer, reducing heat build-up. Perma-SHIELD blades resist binding in large volume cutting, reducing subsequent blade warp. The coating lubricates the blade, allowing it to spin freely, and eliminates pitch and debris build-up on the blade. The LU86R006M20 blade is for Festool, DeWalt, and Makita track saws.
With Micro Jig's precision tapering jig, you can cut clean, crisp tapers with precise repeatability in increments as fine as 1/8 of a degree. Cut 2-, 4-, even 8-sided tapered legs as well as tapers for table tops and cabinet parts with a single jig! The Microdial adjustment system features index holes to ensure a positive angle stop before you lock in your setting with the knobs. In addition, the tapering jig features the Memorylock system, which maintains two independent angle stops, and lets you easily toggle between the two. Two separate scales let you set the jig either by degrees or by rise and run, and of course, you can also bypass the index holes, and set the jig by lining up your layout marks. The tapering jig is designed to interface seamlessly with the optional Grr-Ripper GR100Y and GR-200 (62689, 30737 sold separately) for the ultimate in safety and versatility. Technical Details:Ideal for use with your table saw, but can also be used with a router table for routing tapered profiles such as flutes and bevels.Jointing function lets you use the tapering jig to put a perfectly straight edge on rough-sawn boards.Patent pending Microdial Colormatch System lets you to set incremental tapers in increments of 1/8 of a degree. Two separate scales for setting your angle: by rise and run or by degrees.Rise and run scale is accurate to within 1/16" per foot.Degree scale is accurate to within 1/8°.If you want to set the taper jig the traditional way by lining up your scribe marks with the miter slot, you can easily override the incremental system.Memorylock system "remembers" up to two settings so you can switch easily without having to use the scale - great for common settings that you use often.
This cam-action stop for the Best Fence lets you place the stop anywhere you want with precision and ease. A magnifying glass is built in so reading the tape measurements is easy. Stops can be lifted up and out of the way when not needed, and flipped back down without losing your measurement.Calibrating the stop is simple with the included sacrificial fence. Just set the pointer to zero on the fence scale, making sure the end of the sacrificial fence is past the miter saw blade, and make a cut. To recalibrate, extend the sacrificial fence further and recut. The sacrificial fence is a standard 1x3 size, so it's easy to replace if necessary.Stops can be reset to the opposite side of the saw; both the sacrificial fence and fence pointers are reversible.See the Best Fence v3 System here.Technical Details:Cam-action stop locks solidly into place and flips out of the way when not in useA large, comfortable handle makes it easy to lock and unlock the stopSacrificial fence allows for easy calibration to any miter sawRemovable pointers and sacrificial fence allow the stop to be recalibrated for the opposite side of the sawA swing-out magnifying glass clearly shows the tape measurements
