Powermatic PM2415B-3 24'' Bandsaw, 5HP, 3-Phase, 230/460V

Powermatic's PM2415 24'' Bandsaw features a powerful, totally enclosed, fan-cooled motor that keeps dust out for a long, productive life under the most demanding conditions. The table tilts 45° to the right, 10° to the left, and comes standard with a T-slot miter gauge. A lower wheel brush prevents sawdust buildup from interfering with the tracking, while a convenient foot brake ensures rapid stops. With the large comfortable handwheels, adjustments are smooth and easy to accomplish. The bandsaw comes standard with a 4'' dust collection port for connection to a work shop dust collection system. The upper wheel housing and guidepost have been designed with the rigidity necessary for industrial use, while the extra wide flange and heavy-duty rack and pinion trunnion assembly provide extra durability and eliminate any flex in the table.Features:Integrated foot brake quickly stops the coasting bladeUpper and lower ball bearing guides mean less friction and longer life for blade and guidesRack and pinion adjustable blade guide post for precise locating of guides to workpieceTable has beveled edge to allow smooth stock movement and easier miter gauge entryTwo speed drive pulley expands sawing capabilityExclusive Powermatic T-Square style Accu-Fence maximizes accuracy and safetyAccu-Fence has complete adjustability for aligning to blade and squaring to tableSturdy cast iron table and trunnion assembly offers maximum rigidity for large work piecesPositive locking cam with pressure adjustmentOversized side plate can be used in the horizontal or vertical positionElectrical interlock prevents the bandsaw from starting when the blade is de-tensioned (patent pending)Four sided blade guard for optimum protectionMagnetic switch protects the motor from harm due to potential electrical supply issues

Complete Illustrated Guide to Jigs & Fixtures, Book

Complete Illustrated Guide to Jigs & Fixtures, Book
$27.95

Finding an effective jig or fixture for a woodworking operation can be as elusive and time-consuming as designing a great piece of furniture, a sailboat, or a ukulele. It takes solid woodworking knowledge and some problem-solving skills, with a good dose of inspiration thrown in. Even a moderately complex setup can pose numerous choices: What tool or machine is best for the operation? Should the jig move the wood over the machine or guide the machine past the wood? How does the workpiece need to be referenced and clamped? Should the jig be adjustable? Most of the woodworkers I’ve met delight in solving challenging jigging problems. But tackling these problems requires a basic understanding of jig function and design. This book will teach you how to make these time saving devices and help improve everything you build in your shop. 272 pages. Contents: Section 1: Function and Design Why Use Jigs?
