The PM3000 brings heavyweight performance and patented innovations to the 14-inch table saw arena. The riving knife rises and lowers with the blade, substantially reducing kickback risk; and both riving knife and blade guard each have a quick-release, so mounting and removing them is fast and tool-free. A wide-stance trunnion and concave teeth on the trunnion gears promote smooth blade raising/tilting. The Poly-V drive belt system results in quieter, more efficient power transfer with virtually no vibration and less heat build-up. A push-button arbor lock is accessible from above the table top and eliminates the need for dual arbor wrenches. Easy-access controls include jumbo stop switch. Sloped cabinet floor and built-in port for dust extraction. Comes standard with a 33" DuramineTM surfaced extension table and legs.Quick release riving knife greatly reduces binding/kickback risk Push button arbor lock (patent pending) for rapid blade change Poly-V drive belt system delivers efficient, quiet operation Wide stance heavy-duty trunnion for stability and smooth blade positioning Adjustable angle indicators (patent pending) on the blade bevel scale for repeatable bevel cuts Industrial-duty Accu-Fence System ensures accurate cuts Enclosed cabinet with wide footprint for stability Heavy-duty micro adjustable miter gauge with aluminum extruded fence, for good workpiece guidance and fine angle adjustments Precision ground high luster cast iron table top with front edge bevel prevents snagging of workpiece while positioning Heavy-duty chrome plated handwheels contribute to smooth trunnion/arbor movement Jumbo stop switch offers fast access to controls Built in 4" port for dust collection Standard Equipment:TEFC motor with magnetic controls Standard left and right cast iron table wings Accu-Fence System with 50" to the right cutting capacity Extension table and legs Arbor wrench Motor coverBlade, power cord plug not included

The distinctive striped appearance of Zebrawood has made it a favorite for decorative inlays and veneers. The color ranges from golden-yellow to a peanut butter tone with chocolate veins running through it. The wood is hard, dense and extremely tough. These thin boards are machined S4S to 1/8" and 1/4" thicknesses, eliminating wear and tear on your planer. You won't have to worry about tearout, which is difficult to prevent when planing thin stock. Thin boards are ideal for edging, veneering, inlay, marquetry, sides for decorative boxes, bending stock, bent laminations and whatever else your imagination can dream up!Native to: West Africa, especially Gabon and Cameroon.Tree Data: 48" to 60" diameter trunk. The trees generally have very thick bark.Sapwood: Pale yellow.Heartwood: Light golden-yellow or pale yellow-brown, with narrow streaks of dark brown to almost black, giving a striped appearance.Grain: Generally interlocked or wavy, yielding a ribbon figure. Texture: Medium to coarse. Luster: High luster.Resin: Occasional resin pockets.Movement: Dimensionally stable. Retains its shape well after machining.Veneering Qualities: Zebrawood is used extensively in veneers for cross banding and inlays. Bundles of veneer should be stabilized with weights to prevent buckling.Working characteristics: Responds well to hand and machine tools. Quite easy to saw, but due to interlocking grain, planing is very difficult, often resulting in tearout.Polishing: Good polishing and finishing qualities. Strength: Compressive strength parallel to the grain is high. The wood is hard, very heavy, and very dense. It is tough, with good impact resistance.
